The 2025 Völkl Secret 96 builds on its legacy with refined shaping and construction aimed at delivering more response and precision while preserving all-mountain capability. Its updated 4 Radius Drive sidecut allows for a broader range of turn shapes, and the Tailored Carbon Tips and Titanal Frame add energy where needed without overwhelming the ski.

Why we like it:

It blends power and agility impressively — quick edge initiation from the tips, solid grip in the middle, and smooth release in turns. The construction feels stable at speed, and the ski remains playful enough off groomers.

Who it is for:

Advanced to expert skiers who want one ski to handle both aggressive carving and freeride. For women or lighter skiers, this is a rare ski that scales metal content by length, so performance stays balanced.

Highlights:

• Dimensions: 139 / 96 / 121 mm
• Available lengths: 149, 156, 163, 170, 177 cm
• Turning radii (varies by length): ~10.8 m (149 cm), ~12.2 m (156 cm), ~13.8 m (163 cm), ~15.2 m (170 cm), ~16.8 m (177 cm)
• Profile: Tip & tail rocker with camber underfoot
• Core: Multilayer wood core (Beech & Poplar)
• Construction: Full sidewall with Tailored Titanal Frame and Tailored Carbon Tips
• Base: Sintered P-Tex 2100
• Rocker type helps in variable snow and float in softer conditions

Things to consider:

Because it has metal laminates and is built for performance, it demands a solid technique. In deep powder, wider skis will float more. Also, handling in tight trees or slow, technical terrain is slightly more demanding due to its stiffer construction.

Fit & Sizing Considerations:

Skis generally ride true to size. For sharper turn initiation and nimbleness, consider sizing down; for enhanced stability and control at speed, size up or stick with your usual length.
